Job summary

Kelly Services seeks a Manufacturing Technician in Wyandotte, MI to perform visual inspections, basic assembly, and data entry into electronic systems. You will help resolve equipment issues, execute safety and quality checks, and support material movements and changeovers in a 10-hour night shift schedule.

Training may be provided to peers, with opportunities to grow within a premier manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year work history in manufacturing or similar environment.
• Can lift up to 30 lbs and sit for extended periods.
• Functional English (spoken and written) with basic math skills.
• Experience with measurement tools (rulers, gauges).

Responsibilities

• Performing visual inspection of finished parts for defects.
• Conducting minor finishing and basic assembly operations.
• Recording data accurately into electronic plant database systems.
• Troubleshooting equipment issues independently and with others.
• Completing safety and quality checks of equipment.
• Supporting movement of materials to staging areas for warehouse transfer.
• Completing equipment changeover operations for safety and productivity.
• Maintaining housekeeping and participating in safety programs.
• May train others on unit operations within the department.

Pay Rate: $17.50 per hour - Weekly Pay!

Shift: 8pm-6am, Monday and Fridays ONLY, 10-hour shift (20-hours per week)

What’s a typical day as Manufacturing Technician? You’ll be:

• Performing visual inspection of finished parts for defects
• Conducting minor finishing and basic assembly operations
• Recording data accurately into electronic plant database systems
• Problem solving independently and collaboratively to resolve equipment issues
• Completing safety and quality checks of assigned equipment routinely
• Supporting efficient movement of materials to staging areas for warehouse transfer
• Completing equipment changeover operations for safety, quality, and productivity
• Maintaining housekeeping standards and participating in safety programs
• May train other personnel on unit operations within the department

This job might be an outstanding fit if you:

• Have a solid work history with jobs of 1+ years in length (no succession of short-term roles)
• Are able to lift up to 30 lbs. and sit for extended periods while performing job tasks
• Possess functional knowledge of English (spoken and written), basic math skills, and experience using measurement tools (e.g., rulers, gauges)
• Can wear steel toe or composite toe safety shoes/boots and required attire (jeans or cargo pants)
• Have acute visual acuity, attention to detail, and strong organizational skills
