Role Summary:

The Manufacturing Technician will play a key role in supporting the production and assembly of our advanced electro-mechanical device, SectionStar, as part of a close-knit manufacturing team. This hands-on role includes mechanical and electrical assembly, wiring, inspection, testing, and system calibration. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced, quality-driven production environment—preferably within the medical, optical, or automotive industries—and possess a strong understanding of both manufacturing and electrical processes. We are looking for a detail-oriented, team-focused individual who values precision and views medical device development as a competitive advantage.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret and work from wiring diagrams, blueprints, work instructions, and engineering drawings
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic components
  • Conduct quality checks and functional tests on components and systems to ensure regulatory and performance compliance
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve wiring discrepancies and assembly issues
  • Maintain accurate records of testing procedures, wiring configurations, and any modifications
  • Support ongoing process improvements and documentation updates
  • Ensure safety standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA) are consistently followed
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and design teams to drive successful builds and efficient production workflows
  • Maintain and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment and support preventive maintenance activities
  • Stay current on best practices and safety protocols through ongoing training and professional development

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing and/or electrical assembly, ideally in medical devices or similar industries
  • Proficient in electrical wiring techniques, soldering, and crimping
  • Strong understanding of electro-mechanical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools
  • Familiarity with electrical safety codes, ISO 13485, and GMP standards a plus
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments effectively and safely
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and organizational discipline
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable learning new digital tools

Work Environment:

This role requires standing for extended periods, working with small components, and operating machinery in a fast-paced production environment. Flexibility to work occasional overtime may be required to meet production demands.

Company Offers:

  • Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and education
  • Comprehensive benefits package available: (healthcare, vision, dental and life insurances; 401k; PTO and holidays)
  • Overtime opportunities available for those interested in additional hours
  • A collaborative and diverse work environment where our teams thrive on solving complex challenges
