Production Worker (Casting Technician - Weekend Night Shift)

Join us as a Production Worker (Casting Technician - Weekend Night Shift) at Howmet Aerospace.

Position Overview

Howmet Aerospace is seeking a Casting Technician to join our Dover Casting group in Dover, New Jersey. The work hours for this position are on the Weekend Night shift (Friday Night - Sunday Night, 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM). Training will be provided on the Day shift (Monday - Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:00 PM) for several months.

Responsibilities
  • Pour molten metal into casting molds following standard procedures.
  • Operate complex vacuum and air melt equipment.
  • Maintain records and generate reports.
  • Inspect refractory molds prior to casting.
  • Train colleagues and assist in mold inspection functions.
  • Report issues with molds or equipment to supervision or engineering.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship available.
  • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Completion of Casting Training Program.
  • Ability to perform mold inspection and basic math skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
Physical Demands
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs. occasionally; heavier weights require assistive devices.
  • Work in a hot, industrial environment.
