Job summary

Igloo Products Corp in the United States seeks a Technical Superintendent - Manufacturing to lead the technical shop floor team, ensure safety, quality, and production efficiency, and drive continuous improvement. You will collaborate with maintenance, tool & die, materials, and process groups to optimize SOPs and performance across shifts.

You will supervise supervisors, develop talent pipelines, and sustain a culture of safety, quality, and lean execution to meet early and long-term production

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum five (5) years of production experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum five (5) years of supervisory or technical lead experience.
• Experience in injection molding or plastics manufacturing processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to lead and work effectively with diverse teams.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English to perform essential job functions and ensure safety.
• Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).

Responsibilities

• Directly manages and supersedes assigned Technical Supervisor and conducts performance reviews.
• Provide leadership to Technical Supervisors to achieve safety, quality, and efficiency goals.
• Develops technical workforce requirements to support the production schedule.
• Coordinate priorities and availability plans with other manufacturing managers.
• Define and drive standardized operating procedures (SOPs) throughout the department.
• Train associates on safety, skills and quality with HR/Safety/Quality partners.
• Coordinate repair and maintenance with Maintenance and Tool & Die.
• Support material usage optimization and new product processing.
• Lead lean and cost-saving continuous improvement projects.
• Develop internal career progression and talent development programs.
