Job summary

Dowding Industries, Inc. is seeking a manufacturing operator to run CNC milling, laser cutting, and related equipment in a busy shop. You will read basic blueprints, document output, and support continuous improvement while maintaining safety and quality standards.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and can work overtime as needed. You will participate in 5-S practices, keep the work area organized, and collaborate with a team to meet production goals in a manufacturing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must read basic blueprints and use measuring tools.
• Willingness to work overtime and in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Able to lift/move components up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate and maintain manufacturing tools and machinery.
• Meet or exceed production targets with 85% OEE.
• Document daily parts produced, scrap, SPC data.
• Read and interpret basic drawings and process sheets.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow safety rules.
• Assist in training other employees as requested.
• Support 5-S and continuous improvement efforts.
• Move material using Hi-Lo and overhead crane as trained.
• Package parts for shipping and labeling as needed.
