Job summary

Dowding Industries, Inc. is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate CNC equipment, read blueprints, and maintain quality and safety standards. This on-site role targets accurate production of machined parts for automotive and industrial sectors.

You will inspect work pieces with gauges, document runs, and work with other machinists to keep tools and machines in good condition. The position offers competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for overtime.

Qualifications

• Set-up and operate CNC machines with attention to tolerances.
• Read blueprints and micrometers to verify dimensions.
• Competent in edits and G-code programming basics.
• Able to work with production materials and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up computerized machines to perform machine functions on work piece.
• Read blueprints or work instructions for product specifications and tooling.
• Position and secure tools in toolholders and fixtures.
• Operate bench grinder to sharpen tools.
• Input control instructions into machines and monitor runs.
• Replace worn machine tools with new ones.
• Take measurements and ensure quality with gauges.
• Maintain machines and perform routine upkeep.
• Operate multiple machines with minimal supervision.
• Support other equipment like welding and flame-cutting tools.
• Perform other duties as needed.
