Job summary

Timken, a global technology leader in engineered bearings and industrial motion, seeks a Team Lead to ensure safety, productivity, and performance of production staff on their shift. You will oversee assembly, drive continuous improvement, coach team members, and maintain adherence to Lean and Standard Work.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing with strong leadership and communication. Expect collaborative problem-solving with planning and maintenance teams, plus forklift support and SAP

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to read, write, and speak effectively for documentation and procedures.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as backup for department supervisor and lead daily shift meetings.
• Monitor safety, quality, and productivity through audits and zone walks.
• Ensure compliance with maintenance, housekeeping, and standard work procedures.
• Track performance metrics and drive continuous improvement with the team.
• Oversee training and adherence to standardized procedures (Safety, Quality, Lean).
• Address employee concerns and maintain positive morale through clear communication.
• Collaborate with Planner and Maintenance to resolve capacity and delivery issues.
• Enter and manage transactions in the SAP system and support inventory movement with forklift.
