Job summary

Timken is seeking a dedicated Group Leader to oversee daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production goals are met while upholding safety and quality standards. The role emphasizes lean leadership and continuous improvement, with responsibilities spanning resource allocation, problem resolution, and cross-functional communication.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate degree in manufacturing/engineering, 5–7 years of experience, and potentially a Bachelor's degree.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Manufacturing, Business, or Engineering.
• 5-7 years equivalent work experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Manufacturing or Engineering (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Ensure team direction aligned to plant KPIs: safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, morale.
• Communicate production requirements and key issues affecting delivery.
• Hold regular team huddles, 1:1 meetings, and walk-throughs of work areas.
• Maintain safe work environment by promptly addressing hazards and involving associates in safety improvements.
• Demonstrate lean leadership and drive continuous improvement in the facility.
• Lead Talent Management: goal setting, coaching, mentoring, and training needs assessment.
