Job summary

You will replace operators when needed, assist lines to maintain throughput, and report issues to supervisors. Strong knowledge of 5S and Kaizen is preferred, with a GED or high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in manufacturing or assembly environments preferred.
• Knowledge of line balancing and continuous improvement practices may be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Replace assembly operators on production lines when absent.
• Assist on lines to ensure smooth operation and throughput.
• Report abnormal conditions to Group Leader and Supervisor.
• Observe workers to ensure proper training and safety.
• Record skill levels of subordinates in the system.
• Construct line balance and Yamazumi charts to improve efficiency.
• Report production, defects, and scrap data accurately.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Travel to customer locations if needed.
• Coordinate and document Change Point Control activities.
• Verify data entry for quality and facility checks with signatures.
• Inform supervisor of any abnormal conditions immediately.
• Perform 5S in the assigned work area and train others.
• Train new team members on shift for extended periods.
