Job summary

Franklin Precision Industry Inc in Franklin, KY seeks an experienced Team Leader to manage production and quality on one or more assembly lines. You will lead on-line activities, ensure safety, and drive continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Replace assembly operators on production lines when absent.
• Assist on lines to ensure smooth operation and throughput.
• Report abnormal conditions to Group Leader and Supervisor.
• Observe workers to ensure proper training and safety.
• Record skill levels of subordinates in the system.
• Construct line balance and Yamazumi charts to improve efficiency.
• Report production, defects, and scrap data accurately.
• Conduct preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Travel to customer locations if needed.
• Coordinate and document Change Point Control activities.
• Verify data entry for quality and facility checks with signatures.
• Inform supervisor of any abnormal conditions immediately.
• Perform 5S in the assigned work area and train others.
• Train new team members on shift for extended periods.

General Position Summary

Team Leaders are responsible for the production and quality on one or more manufacturing assembly lines. Duties include but are not limited to; Quality and Facility checks, stocking components, keeping hourly Change Point Record and maintaining 5S at all times.

Essential Functions

• Replace assembly operators in their absence on production lines
• Assist on assembly lines to ensure smooth running of lines
• Report Abnormal Condition to Group leader and Supervisor.
• Conduct worker observation of team members to ensure they are adequately trained.
• Record skill level of subordinates on MFWTT.
• Construct line balance and “Yamazumi” charts to increase line efficiency.
• Accurately Report production, in process defect, and scrap information.
• Conduct Preventative Maintenance of assigned assembly equipment.
• Travel to customer location if needed.
• Coordinate and document “Change Point Control”
• Checks data entry of Quality and Facility Checks and confirms by signature.
• Inform superior of abnormal conditions immediately
• Conduct 5S of assigned work area and teach team members.
• Train new Team Members on shift for extended periods of time
• Rotate staffing for complete training of all operators
• Perform Kaizen Activity on assembly line
• Complete daily reports and charting
• Train operators to standardize work
• Responsible for Quality and Safety of Assembly line
