Job summary

Parker Hannifin in North Haven, CT is seeking a Department Team Lead to coordinate daily manufacturing activities, ensuring safety, high quality, and efficient operations on the shop floor. This role links site leadership with the crew, providing coaching and support to meet production goals and drive continuous improvement.

The Team Lead monitors workflow, resolves issues, and enforces policies while promoting a positive, productive environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
1-2 years manufacturing experience.
Basic leadership and communication skills.
Ability to motivate and guide team members.
Knowledge of safety and quality procedures.
Basic computer skills (i.e. Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

Responsibilities

Monitor production schedules and ensure timely completion of tasks assigned by Operational Leadership.
Coordinate on-the-job training and support for team members.
Verify all safety and quality standards are followed by all team members and elevate any challenges as appropriate.
Communicate production issues and elevate as needed.
Assist in maintaining equipment and work area cleanliness.
Document daily production data and team performance.
Hourly sign off of Day by Hour boards including verifying comments for hours that do not meet production targets.
Maintain Team Improvement Board(s)
Identify potential employee conflicts and elevate as appropriate.
