Andersen Corporation is hiring a Manufacturing Team Lead I for the 100 Series on 1st Shift in Bayport, NY. The role supervises a production department of 5–40 associates, directing daily work and coaching improvements using AMS tools to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

Qualifications include an associate degree or equivalent, plus lean training or proven problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and leadership are required; travel is minimal.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations.
• Lean training or certification preferred.
• Knowledge of operations products, processes, and equipment including safety, quality, changeover and set-up skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate employees.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Ensure continuous flow of production to meet planned output and maintain safety, quality, delivery, cost, and maintenance standards.
• Facilitate training and development of production employees; maintain cross-training matrix and coordinate staffing to meet business needs.
• Lead AMS projects and use problem solving tools (5 Why, PDCA, MCA) to drive improvements and engage employees.
• Lead daily Tier1 meetings to encourage participation and engagement and communicate effectively across teams.
• Provide support to other production areas as needed, including project support and cycle counting responsibilities.
• Complete standard work & control plan audits and participate in corrective actions from MCA process.
• Follow safety procedures and proactively address safety concerns.
