Job summary

Andersen Corporation in Bayport, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Team Lead I for the Doors group on the 3rd shift (5X8). The role directs a production team of 5–40 associates, ensuring smooth flow, safety and quality while driving AMS-based improvements and problem solving.

Key requirements include an Associate degree or equivalent, strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills, plus familiarity with continuous improvement (5S, PDCA) and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience in manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement processes such as 5S and problem solving.
• Knowledge of operations, processes, and equipment including safety, quality, changeover and setup skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, train, and motivate employees.
• Demonstrated skill in identifying constraints or barriers, problem solving, delegation and sound decision making.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with others.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily work direction for production line and meet SQDC metrics.
• Coach and train production employees with clear performance expectations.
• Maintain cross-training matrix to utilize employee capabilities.
• Lead AMS projects and maintain visual management tools and dashboards.
• Engage Tier1 in problem solving and escalate to Tier2 when needed.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and address safety concerns.
• Support other production areas as needed and assist with cycle counting.
