Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a supervisor to oversee shop associates in a manufacturing and assembly environment. You will plan and assign work, implement policies and procedures and propose improvements in production methods, equipment, and working conditions.

The role emphasizes strong people leadership, coaching, timely employment decisions, safety, inventory control, and cost-quality tradeoffs. You will lead continuous improvement initiatives, conduct accident investigations, and ensure attendance

Qualifications

• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline.
• Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field.
• May require certification.
• Advanced degree may offset less experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure effective associate relations and team cohesion.
• Provide coaching and development for shop associates.
• Make employment decisions in a timely, fair manner.
• Resolve associate issues through structured problem solving.
• Balance quality, productivity, cost, safety and morale.
• Drive continuous improvement across all areas.
• Perform accident investigations.
• Maintain proper inventory levels.
• Manage department priorities.
• Track absenteeism and time-keeping.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
