Job summary

Adient is seeking an Automation Engineer to provide plant-level leadership for automated manufacturing systems in Riverside, MO. You will own automation standards, design governance, capital execution, launch readiness, and lifecycle management to ensure safe, standardized, and production-ready solutions.

You will coordinate with maintenance, IT/OT, quality, and safety teams, drive continuous improvement, and manage OEM/vendor relationships.

• Define, maintain, and enforce plant automation standards and controls architecture.
• Review and approve automation concepts, designs, safety solutions, and production launches.
• Lead automation capital planning, ROI analysis, and vendor selection.
• Coordinate stakeholders, suppliers, system integrators, maintenance, and operations for compliant systems.
• Verify launch-readiness and ensure safety, quality, and uptime before production release.
• Monitor OEE, MTBF, downtime, and throughput to drive improvements.
