Job summary

Adient seeks a Production Superintendent to oversee daily plant operations, lead assembly teams, and meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals. This hands-on leader will drive continuous improvement and coach supervisors and hourly staff.

The role requires strong data-driven decision making, lean manufacturing experience, and the ability to manage shift operations from 2:15 PM to 10:15 PM. Automotive manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing.
• 2-4 years in production/manufacturing setting.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using data to drive operational decisions and improvements.
• Workforce development and employee coaching experience.
• Ability to work 2nd Shift: 2:15 PM - 10:15 PM.
• Automotive manufacturing experience.
• Quality management experience.
• Just-In-Time (JIT) manufacturing experience.
• Lean Manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead assembly operations and coordinate activities across production departments.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining quality and delivery.
• Monitor staffing and labor utilization for efficiency.
• Control costs and support plant profitability.
• Ensure timely production according to quality standards.
• Analyze daily results to determine material, equipment, and staffing needs.
• Lead cross-functional meetings to resolve issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean practices.
• Lead root-cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Participate in audits and quality improvement activities.
• Coach and develop supervisors and hourly staff.
• Promote safe, compliant operations and a positive work environment.
