Job summary

First Solar, Inc. seeks a Manufacturing Engineer I to support process development and transfer at our Ohio facility. You will work to improve yield, cost, and throughput in high-volume PV module production.

Responsibilities include cross-functional coordination, applying engineering principles, and ensuring safety and quality standards. A technical degree with 0–5 years’ experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Technical degree or higher in a relevant field with manufacturing experience.
• Experience or knowledge in project management and transfer of new processes/technologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite including MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Select, evaluate, and develop qualification plan objectives with minimal supervision.
• Prioritize tasks to meet organizational/department metrics.
• Implement planning decisions based on team consensus to weighted scorecard.
