Job summary

First Solar is seeking a Manufacturing Systems Specialist in the United States to introduce and standardize manufacturing systems across shifts, focusing on safety, quality, and cost improvements. You will drive continuous improvement and align processes with company standards.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and project management skills, with experience in PDCA and manufacturing workflows. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Responsibilities

• Develops new or improves manufacturing systems for sustainability across Coating, Sub-module, Finishing, and Boxing operations.
• Designs and maintains manufacturing processes to meet ISO 9000 requirements.
• Collaborates with Shift Managers and supporting departments to improve systems and processes.
• Performs close-loop checks on safety, quality, productivity, NPI, and controls.
• Plans and recommends suitable systems to introduce to the facility.
• Ensures standardization of systems across all shifts and plants.
