Job summary

Aptiv Interconnect in Houston seeks a Manufacturing Support Specialist to bridge design intent with ERP master data and shop floor execution. You will drive data integrity, manage BOM architecture, update CAD drawings, and prepare production-ready Bills of Materials.

The role requires 2–5 years in ERP/master data, familiarity with Visual ERP or NAV, SolidWorks, and GD&T, with a hands‑on approach on the manufacturing floor.

Summary: At Aptiv Interconnect, we inspire the world’s most innovative teams by doing the right thing, the right way. We are seeking a Manufacturing Support Specialist within the Engineering department, you will serve as the essential bridge between design intent, ERP master data, and shop floor execution across our MOG, Machine Shop, and RMT product lines. Your mission is to drive data integrity, acting as a primary gatekeeper for materials, components, and operational BOMs in our ERP system. You will support the engineering and operations teams by transforming designs into production-ready Bills of Materials (BOMs), updating CAD drawings, authoring clear work instructions, and providing hands‑on troubleshooting and testing directly on the manufacturing floor.

Position Requirements

Education & Technical Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering Technology) or equivalent hands‑on experience in a machine shop or technical production environment.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in ERP master data entry, BOM architecture, production planning, or hands‑on engineering support within a manufacturing/machine shop environment.
• Industry Domain: Solid working knowledge of ERP systems (Visual ERP / Business Central NAV) with a focus on Master Data Management; strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings/blueprints and GD&T; proficiency in SolidWorks for drawing updates, redlines, and data extraction.
• Regulatory Compliance: U.S. Citizenship, security clearance, or other legal/export control requirements apply.

Certifications & Competencies

• Systems Proficiency: ERP System (Visual ERP / Business Central NAV), SolidWorks & Draftsight (Drawing updates, viewing, data extraction), ADP.
