Job summary

Aptiv Interconnect in Melbourne, FL is seeking an Engineering Data Administrator to bridge design and operations by logging new part numbers and documentation into the ERP as soon as designers generate them.

You will help keep systems synchronized, free engineers to focus on technical output, and support contract reviews with ERP tasks while meeting critical design deadlines.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree with 2+ years of experience in manufacturing or data entry.
• In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing data entry or ERP system administration.

Responsibilities

• Enter fresh part numbers, technical files, and links into ERP immediately upon creation to maintain synchronized systems.
• Review and refine MRP data records to eliminate mismatches, preventing production disruptions.
• Handle day-to-day administrative items so engineers remain focused on technical deliverables and milestones.
• Support contract review personnel with ERP tasks and translate contract items to engineers.

This role bridges design and operations by logging new part numbers, documentation, and links into the ERP as soon as designers generate them. By managing these details, you keep systems synchronized, free engineers to focus on technical output, and help the team hit critical design deadlines.

Leadership & Core Responsibilities:

ERP & Data Administration

• Part & Document Logging: Enter fresh part numbers, technical files, and links into ERP immediately upon creation to maintain synchronized systems
• System Maintenance & Data Integrity: Review and refine MRP data records to eliminate mismatches, preventing production disruptions

Engineering Operations Support

• Workflow Optimization: Handle day-to-day administrative items so engineers remain focused on technical deliverables and hit critical milestone target dates.
• Contract review: Support contract review personnel with ERP related tasks, translate contract items to engineers for review.

Position Requirements:

Education & Technical Qualifications

• Education: Associate's degree with 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or data entry environment.
• Alternative Experience: In lieu of a degree, 4+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing data entry, engineering records, or MRP/ERP system administration.

Certifications & Competencies:

• Systems Proficiency: Google suite, Microsoft office, Visual ERP
• Detail & System Precision: Meticulous accuracy in logging technical parts, documents, and BOM structures into MRP/ERP systems without error.
• Time & Workflow Management: Exceptional ability to prioritize high-volume administrative tasks, keep pace with design engineering releases, and meet tight output deadlines.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Proactive clarity when collaborating with engineers, procurement, and manufacturing to resolve data discrepancies quickly.
• Technical Aptitude & Problem-Solving: Quick to understand technical documentation and dependably spot data errors before they hit downstream operations.
