Summary:

Core responsibilities involve production planning, generating work orders, distributing tasks across the team, resolving operational bottlenecks, driving efficiency initiatives, elevating product quality, and fostering employee development. This role serves as a key strategic partner to the operations manager, collaborating closely with senior leadership aligning overall operational strategy, while engaging with business development to support growth initiatives

Leadership & Core Responsibilities:

• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on the shop floor


• Responsible for planning, including outside service, organizing, and managing daily production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.


• Coordinate routine repairs and maintenance of machinery to prevent costly downtime.


• Use the ERP/MRP system to review product details, create work orders, and build schedules


• Enforce strict quality assurance standards and troubleshoot any product defects.


• Monitor operating costs, manage resource allocation, and adhere to financial targets .


• Hire, train, schedule, and lead production supervisors and floor workers across shifts.


• Collaborate with all facility functional groups to ensure products are built on time and meet all quality requirements


• Collaboration with managers, sales and engineering departments to resolve problems


• Review labor reporting data and time and attendance records for accuracy


• Track labor per work order to establish direct margin and labor hours to ensure consistency


• Actively improve processes, develop successful workflows, and adapt to changing conditions


• Develop and manage inventory, recommend new equipment and/or upgrades to existing equipment


• Actively participate in the monthly management metrics review meeting, perform root cause analysis and implement corrective action on the operational processes.

Position Requirements:

Education & Technical Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of detailed experience with ERP systems.


• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing, plant, or production environment.


• Experience managing and developing a team


• Business process engineering experience strongly desired


• Working knowledge of cable assembly components including wire, contacts and connectors desired


• Exceptional leadership, organizational, problem‑solving, and verbal communication skills
