Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated ability to model SEL Values to others.
• Proven ability to communicate professionally, respectfully and openly to a diverse audience.
• Proven ability to prioritize, organize and delegate work; intervene to remove obstacles as needed.
• Advanced knowledge of manufacturing processes and product flow for up and downstream departments.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and department's business systems (Lotus Notes, Dynamics AX, SQS, etc.)
• Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
• Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
• Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
• Background check results satisfactory to SEL
• Negative drug test result(s)

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to department to meet production objectives.
• Understand upstream and downstream departments to ensure accurate communication and product flow.
• Monitor employee performance, regularly provide feedback, mentor and coach employees, and assist with performance reviews.
• Drive employee engagement and communicate change effectively.
• Assess training needs and oversee training.
• Address personnel issues and resolve differences equitably.
• Create, update and control department work instructions and reports.
• Provide input into staffing and capital needs from data.
• Promote safety standards and assist in safety initiatives.
• Model SEL Values and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

• Other duties as assigned.
