Job summary

Summit Federal Services, LLC is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing operations on an assigned shift, driving safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

You will manage production staff, coordinate priorities, partner with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, and HR, and champion Lean initiatives to reduce waste and improve flow across the line. The role requires strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills, with responsibility for attendance and shift handoffs.

Qualifications

• Experience leading manufacturing or operations with full site responsibility.
• Profit and loss ownership with cost-control acumen.
• Able to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP experience a plus.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with production scheduling, workforce planning, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and structured problem-solving tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise production team to meet safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals.
• Plan daily work assignments, staffing, and production priorities.
• Monitor performance and address issues affecting output, quality, or schedule.
• Ensure adherence to policies, safety requirements, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Coach and develop Team Leaders and production staff.
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and HR to resolve issues.
• Pursue productivity improvements, reduce waste, and optimize flow.
• Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for safety and quality.
• Track KPIs and report shift results and priorities to management.
• Manage attendance, performance, and employee relations per policy.
• Ensure accurate production documentation and shift handoffs.
• Support Lean initiatives and continuous improvement.
• Escalate significant issues to leadership.
• Contribute to special projects and cross-site collaboration.
