Placements24 is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor for a key production facility in Upington, Northern Cape. You will oversee daily operations, drive safety, quality, and on-time delivery, and lead a team to meet production targets.

The role requires strong leadership, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to implement lean practices. You will collaborate with maintenance and quality teams, maintain records, and promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Manufacturing Supervisor in a production environment.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, and safety regulations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Proficiency with production management systems and standard office software.
• Relevant technical qualification or degree in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours as dictated by production schedules.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff to ensure production goals are achieved.
• Monitor production lines, ensuring adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and procedures.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate production team members; foster continuous improvement.
• Identify and troubleshoot production issues; implement solutions to minimize downtime.
• Manage allocation of resources, including personnel and materials, to meet production demands.

• Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
