Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor for a leading tire manufacturer at a state-of-the-art facility in East London, Eastern Cape. You will oversee production operators and technicians, ensure schedules, maintain safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires at least 4 years in supervision within manufacturing, familiarity with MES systems, strong leadership and communication skills, and a track record of achieving output targets while reducing

Qualifications

• 4+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in tire manufacturing or rubber processing is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Familiar with MES or similar production management software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of production operators and technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Ensure production schedules are met efficiently and that quality standards are maintained throughout the manufacturing process.
• Monitor machine performance and troubleshoot issues with maintenance teams as needed.
• Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on the shop floor.
• Manage material flow and inventory within the production area.
• Identify and implement process improvements to boost productivity and reduce waste.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports for management.
• Foster a positive and productive work environment and promote teamwork.
