Job summary

Galvion is seeking a Supervisor I, Manufacturing in Newport, Vermont to lead daily production operations, drive safety, and foster a culture of continuous improvement on the shop floor. You will guide frontline teams, manage priorities, and ensure compliance with quality standards.

This hands-on leadership role oversees staffing, production schedules, and cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and HR to meet targets while upholding Lean and 6S principles.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in manufacturing.
• Lean manufacturing experience and strong communication skills.
• Experience with ERP systems and MS Office suite.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage competing priorities.
• Mechanical aptitude; injection molding experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to manufacturing employees and Team Leads.
• Coordinate staffing, employee assignments, and daily production priorities.
• Monitor production schedules and performance to ensure requirements are met.
• Promote safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork.
• Support Lean Manufacturing and 6S initiatives to improve efficiency and safety.
• Coach, train, and develop employees and support cross-training.
• Monitor departmental performance metrics and communicate issues to leadership.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, HR and other departments to resolve problems.
• Ensure manufacturing activities comply with SOPs and safety requirements.
• Identify and communicate issues that may impact production goals.
