Job summary

Galvion in Newport, Vermont is seeking a hands-on Supervisor I, Manufacturing to lead daily production activities and develop a strong, safe, and high-quality operation. You will guide Team Leads, coordinate staffing, monitor schedules, and drive Lean and 6S initiatives to enhance efficiency and workplace conditions.

The role requires an Associate's degree and 5+ years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, with strong communication and coaching skills.

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Business, Management, Manufacturing, or a related field.
5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to lead, coach, and develop employees in a fast-paced production environment.

Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day leadership and direction to manufacturing employees and Team Leads.
Coordinate staffing, employee assignments, and daily production priorities.
Monitor production schedules and performance to meet customer and operational requirements.
Promote safety, quality, accountability, and teamwork.
Support Lean Manufacturing and 6S initiatives to improve efficiency and workplace conditions.
Coach, train, and develop employees and support cross-training.
