Manufacturing Supervisor I/II – Weekend Days (Spokane, WA)
Job Description
The Manufacturing Supervisor I/II has functional responsibility for aseptic manufacturing operations in the SVP manufacturing department, including compounding, operations, preparation, filtration, filling, and lyophilization.
Responsibilities
- Supervise assigned manufacturing operations, including source material processing, equipment preparation and sterilization, aseptic filtration, filling, lyophilization, inspection, and packaging.
- Report operational status to management and peers daily.
- Review and update manufacturing documentation.
- Provide cGMP, job‑task, and safety training for personnel.
- Generate, update and maintain standard operating procedures and BPRs; ensure cGMP compliance through observation, training, and auditing.
- Oversee hourly employee performance and adherence to SOPs, cGMPs, and safety regulations.
- Investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
- Order production supplies and equipment.
- Prepare production‑monitoring reports and participate in product cost and budgeting analysis.
- Interview new employees, coach, counsel, and conduct performance evaluations; assist in disciplinary actions as needed.
- Recommend capital expenditures and efficiency improvements.
- Coordinate with supporting departments (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, PIC, etc.) to resolve production line issues.
- Schedule process and equipment validation.
- Maintain environmental monitoring limits.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry or related hard science.
- At least 2 years of related leadership experience (or 4 years of solid pharma manufacturing or supervisory experience).
- Minimum 6 months of related experience.
- Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of cGMP regulations.
- Corrected near‑point vision 20/30 required.
- Experience working in aseptic areas.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
Supervisor II Add‑On
- Additional 1‑5 years related experience.
- Lead experience required.
Compensation & Benefits
Hiring wage: Supervisor II: $89,250.00 – $130,900 per year, based on experience. Shift differential pay available. Benefits include:
