Job summary

Jubilant HollisterStier in Spokane, WA seeks a Manufacturing Supervisor II to oversee sterile and aseptic production operations on site. You will lead a multi‑discipline manufacturing team, ensure cGMP compliance, manage safety, review documentation, and drive continuous improvement in processes and equipment.

The role requires 1–5 years of related experience (leadership preferred) and strong MS Office skills; the wage range reflects the hiring range with room for experience-based adjustment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry or related hard science required.
  • 2 years of related leadership experience acceptable in lieu of a hard science degree, or four years of solid pharma manufacturing or related supervisory experience in lieu of a degree.
  • 1 to 5 years of related experience required.
  • Lead experience required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Word and Excel required.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint required.
  • Interpretation of cGMP regulations required.
  • Ability to manage conflict and influence outcomes required.
  • Basic communication skills required.
  • Problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise manufacturing operations including processing source materials, equipment and component preparation and sterilization, aseptic filtration, aseptic filling, lyophilization, inspection, and packaging.
  • Report operational status to management and peers daily.
  • Review and update manufacturing documentation.
  • Provide cGMP, job task, and safety training for personnel in the manufacturing areas.
  • Generate, update and maintain area Standard Operating Procedures and BPRs. Ensure compliance with cGMP through observation, training and auditing.
  • Supervise hourly employee performance, ensuring compliance with SOPs, cGMPs and safety regulations.
  • Perform deviation investigations and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Order production supplies and equipment required to manufacture products.
  • Prepare production-monitoring reports and participate in analysis of product cost and budgeting process.
  • Interview new employees, provide coaching and counseling, conduct performance evaluations, and set objectives and performance standards.
  • Assist upper management in implementing disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Analyze and make recommendations regarding capital expenditures and efficiency improvements.
  • Collaborate with supporting departments (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, PIC, etc.) to resolve production line problems with appropriate quality considerations.
  • Schedule validation of processes and equipment.
  • Ensure all environmental monitoring limits are maintained in all areas.

Compensation & Benefits
