Job Description

The role of the Manufacturing Supervisor is to manage shift production in achieving safety, quality, service, waste, productivity and culture goals. This will be achieved through providing strong leadership to the team and managing the systems, equipment, people, and materials according to the established policies, procedures, specifications, and customer requirements.

What You Get To Do
  • Act as a safety leader and prioritize safety in all responsibilities, working with the EHS Manager to establish and maintain policies and programs for a safe working environment.
  • Monitor colleague practices to ensure compliance with safety and quality policies.
  • Investigate incidents related to near misses, property damage, or employee injuries, and recommend improvements.
  • Support plant safety programs through participation in audits, incident investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee product conformance to specifications.
  • Manage daily production to meet goals.
  • Handle employee timecards and leave requests for accurate payroll and coverage.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects and sustain gains.
  • Manage production schedules and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Address equipment and material issues in collaboration with Maintenance and Process Engineering.
  • Investigate and report when standards are not met.
  • Use production dashboards and SAP to analyze production data.
  • Foster a high-performance culture and promote teamwork.
  • Supervise employees and address employee relations proactively.
  • Ensure colleague interactions align with Amcor’s values.
  • Maintain open communication and motivate staff to achieve goals.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee growth.
  • Enforce disciplinary policies consistently and fairly.
  • Ensure employee training is current and effective.

What We Want From You
  • Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years’ experience in operations, supervision, quality, maintenance, or a related field, or 5+ years of relevant experience with a combination of education
  • Experience in manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office; SAP experience is a plus
