Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 10–15 hourly manufacturing employees (assembly, fabrication, welding).
• Walk the production floor to monitor operations and ensure efficiency.
• Conduct daily schedule reviews and adjust resources as needed.
• Coordinate staffing, training, and production priorities.
• Oversee employee training including LMS/corporate training and updates.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and lean practices.
• Analyze production data and trends to improve output and efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional supervisors (materials, maintenance, operations).
• Ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
• Support reporting needs and act as backup leadership when required.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of leadership experience managing teams in manufacturing (10+ years manufacturing overall preferred)
• Experience leading diverse hourly teams in a production environment
• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement (CI)
• Data-driven mindset with experience using:
• oSAP (or similar ERP systems)
• oExcel for analysis
• Experience making statistical/data-based decisions
• Background in heavy manufacturing environments (metal fabrication, assembly, welding)
• Proven ability to develop and mentor team leads
• Strong change management and communication skills
• Experience with safety protocols and compliance
• Ability to report out to multiple leadership levels and step in for senior leadership when needed
• Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
• Certifications in Lean / Six Sigma or related methodologies
• Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools
• Experience supporting production forecasting and balancing production gaps
