Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Coach, develop, and hold production employees accountable for performance, attendance, quality, and safety.
• Monitor and improve KPIs including productivity, efficiency, utilization, First Pass Yield, and scheduled attainment.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, A3, and DMAIC.
• Lead CAPA activities and ensure corrective actions are sustained.
• Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S, waste reduction, FIFO, Kanban, and visual management.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and output.
• Develop cross-training, capacity, and absentee coverage plans.
• Lead accident investigations and corrective actions while maintaining a strong safety culture.
• Ensure employees follow Standard Work Instructions and established processes.

PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to provide hands‑on leadership within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This individual will lead production employees while driving performance across safety, quality, delivery, and cost. The ideal candidate is a strong floor leader who develops people, understands manufacturing metrics, and uses structured problem-solving and Lean principles to drive measurable improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily production activities to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Coach, develop, and hold production employees accountable for performance, attendance, quality, and safety.
• Monitor and improve KPIs including productivity, efficiency, utilization, First Pass Yield, and scheduled attainment.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions using tools such as 5 Why, Fishbone, 8D, A3, and DMAIC.
• Lead CAPA activities and ensure corrective actions are sustained.
• Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives including 5S, waste reduction, FIFO, Kanban, and visual management.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and output.
• Develop cross‑training, capacity, and absentee coverage plans.
• Lead accident investigations and corrective actions while maintaining a strong safety culture and understanding OSHA recordables and near misses.
• Ensure employees follow Standard Work Instructions and established manufacturing processes.
• Partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and Operations to resolve production issues.
• Use ERP systems and Excel to analyze manufacturing data and communicate performance results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing supervisory experience.
• Strong people‑management experience, including coaching, performance management, conflict resolution, and corrective action.
• Demonstrated success driving measurable manufacturing improvements.
• Strong understanding of SQDC, manufacturing KPIs, and Lean principles.
• Experience personally leading structured root cause problem‑solving and corrective actions.
• Experience with CAPA, 5S, waste reduction, and continuous improvement.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Metal fabrication experience is a plus.
• Engineering degree is preferred but not required.
• Lean, Six Sigma, or problem‑solving training/certification is a plus.

Compensation

Up to $85,000, based on experience.
