Position Summary

This position is responsible for coordination of all manufacturing activities for the shift or group assigned.

Position Responsibilities:

• S upervises all employees assigned to the assigned shift.
• Assists HR with all employee relations for the shift.
• Responsible for managing the employees' timesheets through the HRIS and the attendance system.
• Conducts problem solving for all manufacturing issues that arise.
• Confers with other departments to coordinate operations and activities to meet production deadlines.
• Plans and establishes work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
• Inspects materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
• Oversees the training of new employees and monitors progress to ensure training is on schedule.
• Collaborates with Quality to ensure machine operators conform to production and quality reporting standards.

Requirements:

• HSD/GED required, certifications or college degree a plus
• Min 3 years of supervising in a metal manufacturing environment, Fastener Industry a plus
• 5+ years experience in the operation of Header Machine
• Strong problem solving, leadership, and decision making skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for team collaboration and issue resolution
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
