Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking a Superintendent for the xPL Offsite Manufacturing Facility in Decatur, AL. The role focuses on safety, scheduling, and coordinating trades to meet the project timeline.

Responsibilities include developing JHAs, leading forepersons, ensuring EH&S compliance, and managing labor and materials for manufacturing facility work. Strong communication and planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, building construction or related field is a plus with 3+ years of superintendent-related experience.
• Deep knowledge of manufacturing tools, means and methods, scheduling and cost control.
• Ability to read and interpret contract docs, drawings, scopes and schedules; EH&S knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Implement site safety program with EH&S to support xPL team and trades.
• Develop JHAs with forepersons for daily pre-task planning.
• Foster a safe, caring workplace using Turner's Active Caring philosophy.
• Sequence work to meet schedule and communicate with Production Manager to align manufacturing facility activities with project schedule.
• Manage resources and staffing levels; monitor progress and adjust work practices to boost production.
• Oversee procurement, deliveries, and field issues; mentor forepersons and provide performance feedback.
