We are looking for subject matter experts to help develop curriculum for two manufacturing courses. The subject matter expert will collaborate with our instructional design team to create weekly course materials based on existing templates. Each course is aimed at high school age students in career and technical education (CTE) programs. Six Red Marbles will provide the subject matter experts with the Manufacturing program’s standards, lesson blueprints, templates, formatting guidelines, and complete list of the anticipated final deliverables for each lesson. The Manufacturing courses will be taught in a blended learning environment with the expectation that each lesson equals one week of materials. This is a freelance, temporary, remote position.

Required Experience

• Relevant certifications include:
• Certified Manufacturing Technologist (CMfgT)
• Certified Manufacturing Engineer (CMfgE)
• Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM)
• Certified Quality Engineer (CQE)
• Certified Automation Professional (CAP)
• 2+ years of technical writing experience in the field of engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience writing curriculum for high school age students and/or adult learners.
• Experience using Microsoft Word and PowerPoint templates and style guides to develop curriculum.
• Teaching experience in career and technical education (CTE).

Time Frame and Availability (approximate)

• Manufacturing I will require a minimum of 15 hours a week from July through September.
• Manufacturing II will require a minimum of 15 hours a week from August through November.
• Due to the project’s multiple rounds of review, occasional meetings during business hours may be required.

Job Responsibilities

• Adherence to writing and formatting requirements as per approved style guide and templates.
• Develop lesson video scripts, PowerPoints, exams, projects and activities, lesson plans, vocabulary, and guided notes documents.
• Use master slides and master styles in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Transfer files using Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, and other Six Red Marbles file protocols.
• Develop curriculum that aligns with existing lesson blueprints.
• Manage due dates, submit questions in advance of deadlines, and communicate with all team members when work is complete and is ready for reviewers.
• Apply client and instructional design feedback in multiple rounds of review.
• Work independently and take constructive feedback in a professional manner.
• Meet deadlines with tight turnaround times.
