Job summary

CHM Industries, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant to support month-end close, financial reporting, and technical accounting in a manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this role will own reconciliations, prepare journal entries, and maintain schedules for revenue, warranty reserves, leases, and other balance sheet accounts.

The ideal candidate brings strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, sound judgment, and the ability to independently investigate and resolve accounting issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Four+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and full close process.
• Experience applying ASC 606 and ASC 842.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and audit support.
• Working knowledge of SOX and internal controls.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for month-, quarter-, and year-end close.
• Apply ASC 606 to revenue recognition and related concepts.
• Reconcile unbilled receivables, deposits, and contract assets/liabilities.
• Prepare warranty reserve calculations and rollforwards under ASC 460/450.
• Maintain lease schedules under ASC 842 and evaluate new agreements.
• Support inventory, COGS reconciliations, and intercompany balances.
• Prepare financial reporting schedules and document fluctuations.
• Perform SOX controls and assist audits.
• Research accounting issues and improve procedures.
