Job summary

Pro Mach Inc. seeks a Technical Accountant to support ASC 606 revenue recognition and ASC 842 lease accounting across a multi-division manufacturing environment. The role partners with finance leadership to drive process improvement, close activities, and cross-entity collaboration.

Ideal candidates have a CPA track or active pursuit, 2–4 years of progressive accounting experience, and strong GAAP knowledge. Public accounting or multi-division manufacturing experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA designation strongly preferred; candidates not yet certified must be actively pursuing CPA licensure.
• 2-4 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and general contract accounting in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, lookups) and strong analytical, organizational, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Prior public accounting, external audit, or multi-division manufacturing organization experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform revenue recognition procedures in accordance with ASC 606, including analysis of customer contracts to identify technical accounting considerations such as performance obligations.
• Administer the Company's lease portfolio on a monthly basis, including lease schedules, ROUs, and journal entries per ASC 842.
• Assist with interim and year-end audits, preparation of supporting documentation, coordinating with stakeholders and external auditors.
• Prepare and post journal entries related to revenue recognition, lease accounting, and other technical accounting areas.
• Identify opportunities to enhance technical accounting processes, documentation, and procedures.
• Partner across Finance to research complex accounting matters and drive improvements in processes, controls, documentation, and automation.
• Support international statutory reporting and audits, special projects, and accounting training.
