Job description

We are working with a manufacturing company that is looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager to manage the overall accounting for a $70MM business unit.

This role will be responsible for month end close, financial reporting, consolidations, accounting operations, ad-hoc analysis and reporting, SOX compliance, revenue recognition, working closely with senior leadership and much more.

Responsibilities:

• Manage month end close and accounting operations for the organization.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements, including commentary and related analysis.
• Prepare financial reports for senior leadership.
• Review variances and analyze trends for work in progress and inventory.
• Provide technical accounting guidance and insight for any accounting issues.
• Be involved in continuous evaluation and improvement of accounting processes and procedures.
• Maintain overall compliance with SOX standards.
• Support external audits.
• Ad-hoc projects.

Experience Requirements:

• BS in Accounting, Finance, or similar
• 5+ years of overall accounting experience; manufacturing experience required
• Experience working for companies that are SOX compliant
• CPA preferred
