Oshkosh Corporation’s McNeilus division is offering a Safety Intern role for summer 2026. You will support the Safety department across projects, assist with investigations, and help develop training programs to improve workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn new programs quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential.
• Familiarity with manufacturing and safety principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct program and procedure reviews and develop training curriculums.
• Assist with accident investigations and follow-up corrective actions.
• Develop and update safety and health training programs for business units.
• Provide daily support to the safety department on various projects.
• Assist and conduct internal compliance and injury reduction assessments.
• Perform ergonomic assessments and provide improvement recommendations.
• Quantify and present safety statistics to management.
• Support and manage the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Take on other duties as assigned; internship varies by location.
• Internship is full-time, 40 hours/week, summer 2026.
