Job summary

Westmag, an American manufacturer of drone motors and robot actuators, seeks a Health & Safety Manager to lead our safety program across South San Francisco and Idaho facilities. You will own Cal/OSHA and OSHA compliance, develop written safety programs, and manage training and incident responses.

You will collaborate with Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Automation and Facilities to ensure safe line launches and scalable EHS systems that support Westmag's U.S. factory growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of health and safety experience in manufacturing, including at least 2 years leading a site safety program.
• Working knowledge of Cal/OSHA (Title 8) and federal OSHA general industry standards and OSHA recordkeeping.
• Hands-on experience with machine guarding, lockout/tagout, hazard communication and incident investigation.

Responsibilities

• Own Injury and Illness Prevention Program and related safety policies.
• Build and run core safety programs (lockout/tagout, machine guarding, PPE, etc.).
• Identify and control hazards across processes (robotics, stamping, high-voltage testing).
• Lead job hazard analyses and safety reviews for new lines and equipment.
• Develop onboarding and training for contract operators and staffing partners.
• Deliver new-hire safety orientation and ongoing training; grow safety trainer base.
