Job summary

Cosmo Cabinets, a growing Eatonton, GA cabinet manufacturer, is seeking a Safety Coordinator to develop and maintain safety and environmental programs. You will be the on-site OSHA expert, lead HazMat handling, and oversee finishing department safety across water-based paints, spray booths, and waste management.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of safety or EHS experience in manufacturing.
• Working knowledge of OSHA general industry standards (29 CFR 1910).
• HAZWOPER certification (40‑hour or 24‑hour) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Knowledge of water‑based paint and coating systems, spray finishing operations, and safety requirements.
• Experience developing and delivering employee safety training.
• Experience leading or facilitating a safety committee.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enforce written safety programs in compliance with OSHA 29 CFR 1910 and applicable state regulations.
• Conduct routine safety audits and inspections of the woodshop, CNC and panel saw areas, edgebanding, assembly, finishing/spray booths, dust collection, and shipping/receiving docks.
• Maintain HazCom program, SDS, container labeling, and chemical inventories.
• Manage required OSHA programs including Lockout/Tagout, Machine Guarding, Respiratory Protection, Hearing Conservation, PPE assessments, powered industrial trucks, and combustible dust.
• Develop and deliver new‑hire safety orientation and annual refresher training for all employees.
• Lead monthly Safety Committee meetings and coordinate safety communications and action items.
