Job summary

Cosmo Cabinets in Eatonton, GA is seeking a dependable Janitorial / Material Handler to keep our cabinet manufacturing facility clean, safe, and running smoothly. This hands-on role combines daily cleaning with material handling support on the production floor.

The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, stays busy with minimal supervision, and is willing to pitch in wherever needed. Prior janitorial or warehouse experience is a plus; training provided.

Qualifications

• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and stay on task.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and be on your feet for a full shift.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment (dust, noise, temperature variation).
• Prior janitorial, warehouse, or manufacturing experience a plus, but not required — will train the right person.
• Forklift or pallet jack experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Janitorial duties: Clean and sanitize restrooms daily, restocking soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed.
• Janitorial duties: Clean and maintain office areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying wastebaskets.
• Janitorial duties: Empty trash containers on the production floor and offices; replace liners and transport trash to dumpsters.
• Janitorial duties: Sweep and clean sawdust, debris, and packaging materials on the production floor.
• Material handling duties: Assist with unloading incoming trucks and deliveries (lumber, hardware, supplies, and materials).
• Material handling duties: Move materials to designated storage or staging areas.
• Material handling duties: Operate the cardboard baler: collect, break down, and bale cardboard for recycling.
• Material handling duties: Assist production staff with moving materials as needed.
• Safety: Follow all company safety policies and procedures; use PPE as required; report hazards to a supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Janitorial Duties

• Clean and sanitize restrooms daily, restocking soap, paper towels, and toilet paper as needed
• Clean and maintain office areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and emptying wastebaskets
• Empty trash containers throughout the production floor and office areas; replace liners and transport trash to dumpsters
• Sweep and clean up sawdust, debris, and packaging materials on the production floor
• Pick up trash and debris outside the building, keeping the grounds, parking areas, and dock areas clean and presentable
• Keep janitorial supplies stocked and notify supervisor when supplies run low

Material Handling Duties

• Assist with unloading incoming trucks and deliveries (lumber, hardware, supplies, and materials)
• Move materials to designated storage or staging areas
• Operate the cardboard baler: collect, break down, and bale cardboard for recycling
• Assist production staff with moving materials as needed
• Maintain organized, clutter‑free work and storage areas

Safety

• Follow all company safety policies and procedures
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Report any safety hazards, spills, or equipment issues to a supervisor immediately
