Job summary

Nox Metals is seeking a Recruiting Associate to own the top of our hiring funnel, from approved requisitions to a calendar of qualified candidates. You will write and post jobs, find people, reach out, screen, and present the best candidates for interviews.

The role is primarily outbound, identifying machinists, technicians, and operators who aren't actively job hunting. Work for Detroit or Los Angeles locations, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in in-house recruiting or sourcing.
• Outbound recruiting mindset with hunter drive.
• Strong writing for job posts and outreach.
• Phone screening and interview scheduling experience.
• Clear, direct communication with candidates and hiring teams.
• Highly organized, can manage multiple reqs.
• Ability to explain and defend hiring decisions.
• Proactive in flagging issues to hiring managers.

Responsibilities

• Turn job descriptions into postings that attract the right candidates.
• Source candidates via LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and partner networks.
• Run outbound sourcing to engage passive candidates.
• Screen applicants, conduct phone screens, and advance to first interviews.
• Schedule interviews and coordinate with hiring managers.
• Maintain candidate records in the ATS and track channel effectiveness.
• Build relationships with schools and workforce programs.
• Follow People Ops SOPs and report issues for fixes.
• Handle confidential information with discretion.
