Job summary

Royal Engineered Composites is seeking a Quality Auditor to lead and support quality activities across onboarding of new manufacturing programs. You will ensure adherence to customer specifications, develop and maintain report templates, and train staff on proper procedures and reporting.

The role involves coordinating with auditors on site, reviewing engineering plans for quality compliance, and participating in internal/external audit events.

Qualifications

  • Auditing experience (internal or external) required.
  • Quality Product Review experience required.
  • Knowledge of Quality Requirements (GD&T) required.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and process requirement identifications for programs.
  • Represent Quality in onboarding of new manufacturing programs.
  • Create and maintain report templates per customer specifications.
  • Identify test methods and train staff on procedures and reporting.
  • Review and approve Engineering planning to meet Quality requirements.
  • Lead audits with internal and external auditors on site.
  • Travel for auditing as needed.

Job description

Essential Functions
  • Process requirement identification.
  • Effectively represent Quality in the onboarding of new manufacturing programs
  • Creating and maintaining report template design required by the customer specifications.
  • Identification of test methods and training of internal personnel on proper procedures and reporting.
  • Knowledgeable and understanding of customer specifications and requirements.
  • Responsible for internal audit activities including shop floor verification audits and internal work instruction audits.
  • Participate in external customer and industry related audit activities.
  • Write or revise various quality documents.
  • Direct involvement with auditors on site.
  • Auditing and approving vendors/suppliers.
  • Research Quality Requirements for upcoming jobs.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts with Manufacturing Engineering and Production.
  • Lead and manage implementation plans on behalf of Quality including overseeing training, and specialty skill implementation.
  • Review and approve Engineering planning to ensure Quality requirements are being met.
  • Travel by vehicle and airplane for auditing.
Work Qualifications
  • Formal education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • Experience: Internal or External auditing - minimum 1 year. Quality Product Review - minimum 1 year. Quality Requirements (GD&T) - minimum 1 year.
  • Computer Skills: Must be able to use common office software systems.
  • Certificates and Licenses: None required.
Eligibility

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements. An individual must therefore be a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Compensation

The compensation package includes salary base pay, and an array of benefits, including participation in Royal’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The target range for this role is $75-90k. Compensation for this role will be heavily dependent upon relevant experience, education, and skills, and experience and skillsets have the potential to push this range higher.
