Job summary

Carlex is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Compliance Engineer to ensure product quality aligns with IATF-16949:2024, ISO 9001:2024, and customer requirements across plants. You will lead process audits, PPAP readiness, and collaborative improvements with Quality teams and suppliers.

The role requires a strong background in Lean, Six Sigma, and problem-solving, with extensive knowledge of Core Tools and regulatory testing. Domestic travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • IATF Internal Auditor certification is required.
  • IATF Lead Auditor certification preferred.
  • Core Tools training completed recently or within the first year.

Responsibilities

  • Embed the Carlex Quality Policy into daily behaviors and decisions.
  • Maintain alignment with IATF‑16949:2024 and ISO 9001:2024 and customer requirements.
  • Lead evaluations of process audits and final inspections for quality and reliability.
  • Co-create internal plant quality standards with Corporate Quality and the Quality Manager.
  • Visit assembly plants to review product and collaborate with customer teams.
  • Communicate critical quality matters across all levels and maintain records.

As our Manufacturing Quality Compliance Engineer, you will be the connective tissue between standards, people, and processes, ensuring every product reflects our commitment to excellence and our customers’ expectations.Your impactEmbed the Carlex Quality Policy into daily behaviors and decisions.Keep the plant in full alignment with IATF‑16949:2024 and ISO 9001:2024, plus customer-specific requirements.Architect PPAP-ready documentation—Control Plans, DVP&R, PFMEA, and Standardized Work—and keep it current.Translate customer warranty feedback and supplier PPAP data into targeted actions and measurable improvements.Lead evaluations of process audits and final inspections to confirm quality and reliability.Co-create internal plant quality control standards with Corporate Quality and the Quality Manager.Ensure quality systems and procedures are maintained and effectively applied by all associates.Communicate critical quality matters clearly across all company levels.Nurture partnership-style relationships with customers and suppliers.Work side-by-side with plant teams to troubleshoot daily issues and lift product and process performance.Visit assembly plants as needed to review product and collaborate directly with customer teams.Leverage expertise in regulatory testing, reporting, and recordkeeping—FMVSS‑205, ECER43, CCC, and additional country regulations.What you bringEducationBachelor’s in business, engineering, or a technical discipline; orHigh school diploma/equivalent with 8+ years of relevant manufacturing quality experience.Experience3+ years in manufacturing quality with an undergraduate degree; or8+ years in manufacturing quality with a high school diploma/equivalent.Credentials & developmentIATF Internal Auditor certification (required); IATF Lead Auditor (preferred).Core Tools training completed recently—or commit to completing within your first year.Ways of workingProficiency in Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Total Quality concepts, and Six Sigma.In-depth understanding of IATF and ISO standards and how to deploy them within automotive Tier 1 and Tier 2 operations.Microsoft Office power user (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Hands-on, analytical, and pragmatic problem solver with excellent analytical skills.Aligned with our values: Safety, Customer Focused, Teamwork, Excellence, and Trust.Workstyle & logisticsValid driver’s license required for business travel.Regular and predictable attendance.Flexibility for off-schedule work as projects or workload demand, including certain weekends and holidays.
