Job summary

RTX's Cedar Rapids Service Center is offering an opportunity to join the CRG (Customer Return Goods) team as a role focused on coordinating daily project schedules, flow, and on-time delivery performance. You will work with floor Supervisors and Project Managers to align priorities, metrics and responsibilities, while developing detailed project plans and mitigating risks.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Business, or related STEM field and enrolled through internship/co-op.
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools.
  • Experience delivering presentations using data visualization tools to communicate production metrics or project updates.

Responsibilities

  • Track progress and resolve obstacles to minimize disruption to CRGs on time delivery.
  • Coordinate daily material shortages for the Service Center.
  • Coordinate on-time deliveries for GS and DCMA.
  • Identify and address production flow problems and develop resolutions.
  • Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals.
  • Maintain and update CRG monthly metrics.
  • Assist in financial analysis of transfer rates and purchasing.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Identify potential risks and resolve issues or delays.

This position will be responsible for all portions of the Cedar Rapids Service Center's CRG (Customer Return Goods) operations and processes. The position oversees and coordinates daily project schedules, communications, shop floor management, BU workforce priorities, flow disruption, maintenance requests and overall OTD (On Time Delivery) performance. This role will work closely with floor Supervisors and Project Managers on priorities, metrics and responsibilities.

What You Will Do:
  • Track progress and identifies/resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to the Customer Returned Goods (CRGs) on time delivery schedule.
  • Coordination of Service Center daily Material shortages
  • Coordination of Factory and Service Center GS and DCMA On Time Deliveries
  • Identifies and addresses product flow problems and recommends resolutions to ensure successful efficiencies are incorporated.
  • Assesses issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Maintain and Update Service Center CRG Monthly Metrics
  • Assist in financial analysis of transfer rates, direct expenses rates, and purchasing.
  • Create and maintain detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones.
  • Identify potential risks, find solutions, and resolve issues or delays.
What You Will Learn:
  • You will gain knowledge in analyzing data and developing solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance.
  • Learn how to Identifies and addresses product flow problems and recommends resolutions to ensure successful efficiencies are incorporated.
  • Learn how to be involved in the Continuous Improvement for the Service Center
  • Gain knowledge in Trend and Data Analysis for CRGs
  • Gain knowledge on the oversight and coordination of Factory Customer Returned Goods (CRGs)
  • Learn how to tailor your presentation style to different audiences
Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Must be pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Project Management, Operations, Business, or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
  • Experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools.
  • Experience delivering presentations using data visualization tools to communicate production metrics or project updates to cross-functional teams or leadership.
Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience in operations/productions settings

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
