Job summary

RTX is offering an internship/co-op/full‑time opportunity in Industrial Engineering at the Cedar Rapids, IA site. You will support manufacturing processes by optimizing equipment layouts, workflows, and work instructions while learning to apply CORE tools and gain exposure to SAP, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and CAD workflows.

You will conduct cost and productivity studies, review producibility risks with design teams, and manage moderately sized projects—traveling to local Iowa sites as needed to

• Background in Root Cause Analysis.

What You Will Do

Qualifications You Must Have

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related STEM major through the completion of the internship/co‑op session.
• Background in Root Cause Analysis.
• Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects

Qualifications We Prefer

• Prior experience in manufacturing environments
• Experience with CAD software.
• Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing operations.
• Prior RTX internship, co‑op, or work experience.

Onsite

Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
