Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED equivalent.

• Two or more years of supervisory experience in a food production environment.
• Food manufacturing experience is a must have.
• One or more years of Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Strong leadership background – direct a diverse unionized workforce.
• Ability to manage and develop associates.
• Proficient with MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint and related apps.
• Ability to lift up to 60 LBS.

Title: Manufacturing Production Supervisor I

Location: Tempe, AZ

Duration: 03 Months

Pay rate: $32.00/hr - $40.00/hr

Shift: 12pm - 8:30 pm Monday through Friday

As a Production Supervisor at our milk facility, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of milk processing operations. Your role will involve leading a team of production workers, ensuring adherence to production schedules, and maintaining quality standards throughout the process. You'll coordinate with other departments to optimize production efficiency, monitor inventory levels, and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, you'll be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies, as well as addressing any issues that arise during production. Your leadership and expertise will be critical in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our milk facility.

Main Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all production processes. Monitor and maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards.
• Lead, supervise, and support production associates. Compose and deliver performance evaluations. Corrective action notices and provide constructive feedback.
• Train, monitor, and enforce quality control standards. Address and rectify issues affecting product quality.
• Track, manage, and audit raw materials and finished goods inventory. Coordinate with the supply chain to optimize stock levels.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and propose scalable solutions. Implement changes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
• Enforce and promote safety protocols. Conduct regular safety training for production personnel.
• Effectively collaborate with site cross-functional partners. (e.G., quality, logistics, maintenance). Relay information accurately, in detail, and respectfully effectively to ensure smooth operations.
• Train new production associates. Provide ongoing training to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Address and resolve production-related issues promptly. Implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and standards. (OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, HACCP, etc.) Keep abreast of industry regulations and update procedures accordingly.
• Coordinate maintenance schedules for production equipment. Address equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports. Generate reports for management on production metrics.

• Two (2) or more years of supervisory experience in a food production environment.
