Job summary

Netpace Inc in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Flex Shift Quality Assurance Lab Tech for a 6-month assignment at our milk plant. You will conduct inspections of raw materials, monitor production processes, and perform tests to verify compliance with quality standards.

You will also document findings, report issues, and implement corrective actions as needed. The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of QA experience, a high school diploma (bachelor's preferred), and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferable; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year of QA experience.
• Food production QA preferred; microbiology or chemical lab experience acceptable.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Familiarity with GMP/SOPs and HACCP knowledge preferred.

Shift: 1st shift 10-hour shifts. Workdays are Sunday, Friday, and Saturday 9am - 7pm.

Candidate will be off Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct quality checks on incoming raw materials and finished milk products.
• Perform regular inspections of production processes to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Monitor and document equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Collaborate with production teams to address any quality-related issues promptly.
• Evaluate trends from test results and communicate these trends to employees and management.
• Implement and maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Food Safety and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in internal audits and assist with external audits as needed.
• Record and analyze data and prepare reports on quality metrics. Ensure that daily records are kept and maintained.
• Drive continuous improvement, assist in the discipline to maintain a 6-S rating of an "A ".
• Follow-up customer complaints and follow-up with production.
• Implement quality control processes/testing to meet the expectations of Client quality standards and ensure that the product(s) are within specification.
• Any other project assigned.

What We Are Searching For.

• We believe the successful candidate has these qualifications and experience:
• Bachelor's degree preferable. High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional relevant certifications are a plus.
• *Minimum 1 year of QA experience.
• Previous experience in quality assurance or a similar role in food production is preferred; however candidates with microbology or chemical laboratory experience are acceptable.
• Strong mindfulness and analytical skills.
• Familiarity with quality control procedures and regulations preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Demonstrate ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and duties as they relate to food safety and regulatory compliance.
• Effective communication and documentation skills.
• Flexibility to work the specified shift and occasionally on weekends if required.
• Good analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Able to multi-task in fast paced environment with limited supervision.
• Proficient in window-based PC programs.
• Lab Test Equipment/Maintenance preferred.
• Some knowledge of HACCP/Food Safety preferred.
