Production Supervisor
Schedule:
Day Shift 5:30am - 4pm with OT
Location:
Redmond, Washington
Pay:
$76,000 - $95,000 per year
Responsibilities:
- Review production orders to determine types, quantities, variations, specifications, and proposed delivery of products; schedule and estimate team member hours and materials needed to complete assignments.
- Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products, utilizing knowledge of production processes, machine and plant capability, and human resources requirements.
- Review production reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to minimize costs and enhance productivity and quality.
- Inspect machines to ensure optimal utilization.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and job orders such as engineering change notices to team members; make and participate in assignments; conduct inspections of work.
- Develop measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality; implement changes in working conditions and use of equipment and tools that improve workflow, efficiency, and safety.
- Coordinate production requirements with material handling and participate in the 'just-in-time' philosophy.
- Train new team members, including work team leaders; communicate company philosophies and policies; teach and demonstrate work routines; document performance.
- Maintain records of daily activity including time, materials, process steps, and occurrences.
- Set up and verify settings on production machines as needed.
- Handle employee relations matters such as promotions, transfers, attendance, discipline, work conditions, and personal assistance; resolve grievances or escalate as needed.
- Conduct performance reviews of team leaders and team members.
- Oversee and participate in inspection of materials used in manufacturing.
- Enter and retrieve production data using computerized systems.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall objectives of the role.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with welding, assembly, and machine operation in a production setting.
- High School Diploma or GED.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong technical knowledge and understanding of Lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Flexible and team-oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership skills, including coaching and training.
- Strong math skills and problem-solving abilities.
